The Swiss forward, Thierry Henry, is set to make his debut for French club AS Monaco in the new season and will be wearing the number 11 shirt.

Henry, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, was named in France's squad ahead of the World Cup but had to drop out due to injury. However, he made a quick return to action when he helped Switzerland beat Germany in the Nations League on Sunday.

The 27-year-old said: "I'm really excited about my first game for the national team. It's going to be a great experience."

Henry's debut will come as a welcome boost for Monaco, which struggled last season without him. The French side have already signed several key players this summer, including striker Ousmane Dembélé and winger Mathieu Valbuena.

However, it remains to be seen whether they can match the form that led them to win the Champions League last season. Despite their success, Monaco still face tough competition from other teams in the league, including Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Ligue 1 leaders Nice.

Overall, Thierry Henry's debut could be a turning point for Monaco, although it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the fast-paced style of football at the Stade de France.
